The Heat!

We have few more games to go and then basketball will be over. Kyle started slow because he did not play basketball for more than two years, but after few games this season he is loosen up! His team-the Heat is so far the defeated team, and last weekend they really stepped it up and made the game more interesting when they won it by one point. Kyle really played aggressively, and helped his team. Go Heat!!!

Falling out...

Last Monday, I started working towards  my goal of getting healthy by eating the right foods; it went well on the first few days, but I slacked back. Tonight, I definitely abandoned my goal when my family decided to eat out at Logan's Roadhouse. I stand corrected, Logan's offered healthy menu. At first, I was very selective, and I ordered healthy meal: bun less burger, broccoli on the sides, and water. Well I can't take all the blame, so I used my son as my excuse, for not eating sensibly. My son made us to order a triple chocolate fudge, topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and crunch nuts on top, then I added a loaded sweet potato and I consumed yeast rolls too. The sweet treat was evil that came in a huge size, and has a delectable taste that we scraped every bit of it.  I was so full and felt bad. Feeling bad after eating is not a healthy sign at all! Well basically, I felt bad because I let myself defeated over my taste buds against my will power! This is such a failure attitude, and if it continues, I will definitely become a loser! I need to have a very aggressive will power to achieve my goal, or I will be back to yo-yo diet again!

How to Eat Pomegranate

Yes! I'm on my 2nd day of getting healthier by eating the right foods. So, I added more fruits and vegetables in my diet, and even the rarest fruit, I ate them. For the example, quince which I never heard of, and surprisingly I didn't  like the taste at all. The other one is pomegranate; I love to drink the flavored juice of it, but I never did tried the real fruit. So I decided to try it; I went to Walmart, and I love the look of it because its pretty looking. One day, I took it to school as my snack, and I brought a sharp knife with me since my "Pom" is big. I laid few paper napkin so that I won't scratch the table, but when I cut it open, I was surprised what's inside! It has lots of seeds in it! I don't know what part do I need to nibble or bite? I was really disappointed, but I don't want to throw it away, so instead I goggled my dumbest question, "How to eat a pomegranate?" To my astonishment it wasn't only me, but there were several people who were just like me, who didn't have any idea of how to eat pomegranate fruit! Then I realized it wasn't that complicated, and since I knew the right way of eating it, I want to stack more of it because it tasted great!
God is so good for giving us different kinds of fruits to enjoy!

The photo attached was when after I cut, divided the core, and now soaking the the sliced ones into a cold water until the seeds will come off. It tasted better when you eat in cold, and the next time I will have it, I will use the blender to extract the juice!

Keeping on Track

I think every New Year my resolution is to lose weight, and until now is still is - to lose weight! How you can I attain this goal if I don't act on it? So, for this year's resolution, I pledge to myself to do it with sincerity in order to stay healthy and stronger. I know that down the road, I will slack back, but I certainly convinced myself that "failure is not an option"!  One tip that I learned that losing weight is a lot easier if you have support with the majority; being online can definitely accumulate vast support. So here I am, hoping to find a group that doing this same goal of mine, and hoping that I can gather tips and ideas from those who succeeded their ups and downs.
May this blog can suit my needs on how to keep track of my goals, to be strong, and healthy.
